Webelos Scout 10 Essentials

The following items will be considered "Essential" items for every Webelos scout in Cub Scout Pack 207. These items will be carried on your person or in your pack for any hikes, campouts, outdoor outings, canoeing, etc. These items should be kept in one location at all times so that they are easily accessible and easy to pack.

1. Compass and pacecord - your personal compass in it's proper storage pouch
2. Notebook and pencil - in a zip-lock pouch for water protection
3. Raingear - according to season / light or heavy weight
4. First aid kit - your personal first aid kit in a proper storage pouch
5. Water - a minimum of 16 oz.
6. Pocketknife - must have whittling chip in good standing
7. Emergency food - a small amount of food in zip-lock (granola bars, fruit bars etc.)
8. Flashlight with extra bulb and batteries - this should be small in size (preferably a 2-aa size)
9. Emergency whistle - this should be on a lanyard and in operating order
10. Pocket fishing kit - this should be contained in your film canister
